On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, a large-scale, preventive organized evacuation of citizens will be held at the Loutropolis of the Loutraki Baths of the Municipality of Almopia, codenamed “Almopia 2022” with a starting time of 10th morning.
In order to carry out the exercise, the traffic of vehicles TO Loutropoli, from the intersection of Ormas, will be stopped, throughout the duration of this exercise. More specifically from 10:00 to 11:00.
The exercise is intended to test the limits of capabilities of all involved services in near real conditions. At the same time, it will enable all those who participate to be trained and tested in the demands of the occasion. It will also demonstrate the high degree of organization of each service and the importance of the cooperation of Civil Protection services.
Visitors and residents of the area are requested to contribute to the smooth conduct of the exercise by remaining calm.
The Mayor of Almopia Christos Batsis said:
“Our main priority is to deal with every threat, which is why the importance of prevention and preparedness from the point of view of Civil Protection is deemed necessary. We, as a municipal authority, with our planned interventions in the area of Loutropolis, try both to prevent such situations and to be fully prepared for their eventual handling.”
